Joanie Terrell, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Joanie has taught Preschool and Mother's Day Out at First Baptist Christian Academy for over a decade. She has been the Director of Children's Ministry and has served on the Leadership Team at her church, Vineyard Christian Fellowship.
Mrs. Joanie and her husband Tony have been married for nearly 30 years. They have three amazing sons, two beautiful daughters in law, and five grand children whom they love very much. Four of Mrs. Joanie's grandchildren attend FBCA.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, Mrs. Joanie has a passion to see people know the love of their Heavenly Father, and know their true identity and destiny as children of God. Mrs. Joanie's love for her Savior is evident in her daily walk.
Mrs. Alana Young, Curriculum Assistant
Alana is a seasoned Administrative Assistant with over 10 years experience. Having held positions in the Financial Management and Estate Planning field, she has extensive knowledge in Administration and Operations. Alana is confidently able to tailor those skills to meet the demands as Curriculum Assistant of First Baptist Christian Academy.
Prior to fulfilling the duties as an Administrative Assistant, Alana received her state license as an Emergency Medical Technician/ Paramedic through the National Emergency Medical Services Academy (NEMSA).
In addition to her duties as Curriculum Assistant, mother, and wife, Alana is active in several organizations. She is an active member of Gateway Church of God, where she heads an annual community outreach event and has worked with Gateway's children's program for several years. Additionally, her home serves as a temporary hosting facility for international exchange students through the United States Government - FLEX/ American Councils.
Alana is thrilled to be a part of our team and is excited to see what The Lord has planned for our community and school. FBCA has been a blessing to her family for several years. The staff, students, and parents have played an important and crucial role in the life of her son. She feels it is such a blessing to be able to serve in a school that not only excels academically, but more importantly puts Jesus Christ first and foremost.
