My name is Gina Breaux, and I am excited to start this school year at FBCA as your administrative assistant. I live in Reeves and attend Dry Creek Baptist Church. I have 7 children, 8 grandchildren and have been a widow for the last 7 years.
God has given me a heart for women and children and my spiritual gifts are mercy and service. I love serving in any capacity. After witnessing most of my children serve overseas on various mission trips, the Lord fulfilled my heart’s desire and led me to serve women, children and a missionary family in Colombia a couple of years ago. My life was forever changed.
I am looking forward now to going from working in the secular world as a legal secretary for the last 15 plus years, to serving the families, children and staff here at First Baptist Christian Academy.
My favorite verse for the past 6 or 7 years is found in Hebrews: "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." ~ Hebrews 12:1-3 NASB
I love these versus because it reminds me that as a child of Christ, I have a course to complete or a goal to reach, and must put forth effort if the Christian life is to be lived faithfully. It must be intentional. It also reminds me that it is a marathon and not a sprint. We must go the distance, always keeping our eyes on Jesus.
